We need coordinated steps against Russia on both sides of the Atlantic. But they should be done now, and not too late, Andrei Sybiga said.
Foreign Minister Andrei Sybiga urged partners to complete the Russian war against Ukraine, limiting Kremlin’s military funding machine. His statement was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, September 16.
According to him, Russian leader Vladimir Putin not only fulfilled any of his promises, but also continued the massive attack on Ukraine.
Sybiga has listed all Putin’s promises to US president Donald Trump in the past six months:
-
Stop killing, continue diplomacy and stop war.
-
Display the real steps in the world in Istanbul.
-
Make a meeting of leaders to establish peace.
“He has no steps to fulfill his promises,” Sybiga emphasized.
Instead, Russia:
-
He refused to stop being stopped and strengthened the fear of Ukraine.
-
He continued to pass the ultimatums and imitate diplomacy.
-
He continued to refuse to meet the leaders.
-
Created a terrorist terrorist attack against the civilian population.
-
I hit a rocket in the Ukrainian government.
-
Invacated in Poland and Romania airspace with the help of drones.
“Putin could not continue to act with complete impotence. We again called all of our European allies, the United States, a group of seven and others who were forced to increase the pressure in Moscow,” Sybiga said.
He assured that Ukraine supports all efforts aimed at ending the warflowing of the war and removing the Russian military resources.
“Steps can and should be fixed on both sides of the Atlantic. But they should be done now, and not later,” Sybiga emphasized.
According to the minister, the Russian economy is in a bad mood, and “serious additional pressure will force Putin to realize that the continuation of the war is threatening his regime and that he is personal.”
“Let’s end this war by stopping funding the Russian military engine,” Sybiga completed.
Remember that it is now assumed that the European Commission will face 19 packs of sanctions against Russia, aimed at restricting the Russian energy sector.
But the media reported that the EU had postponed the idea of 19 packages of penalties, associated with Donald Trump’s pressure on Slovakia and Hungary to leave the energy bearers of the Russian Federation.
Later, the office of the President of Ukraine explained the situation with 19 penalties in the EU.
