The Ukrainian military is in dire need of modern drones for reconnaissance and coordination of troops.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Metinvest group has donated nearly 500 drones to the Ukrainian military.

So, DJI Air 2S Fly More Combo, DJI Air Mavic 3 Fly More Combo and Autel brand drones were purchased for the military. Some models have a 24-kilometer range and a flight height of up to 1 km, and preparation for work takes only 2 seconds. They broadcast the image in 6K quality.

“UAVs allow you to track enemy forces, retarget weapons, take action to stop an enemy advance or save lives… Unfortunately, UAVs are expensive: usually the a drone can survive 10-15 sorties. So defenders need their constant replenishment. “, – said Yuri Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest.

Drones purchased by the company abroad meet military requirements in terms of autonomy, range and flight height. Some are also equipped with thermal imagers.

“Such devices were systematically transferred to the airborne units of the defenders of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the military personnel of the NGU, parts of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the ground forces,” said by Oleg Matvienko, adviser to the head of the Kyiv military administration.

As you know, Metinvest has already allocated UAH 1.7 billion to help the population and defenders of Ukraine. The military will receive a total of 100 thousand body armor, nearly 200 vehicles, drones, thermal imagers and first aid kits, while civilians will receive food, medicine, help finding jobs and housing.
