Permission to travel for people aged 18-22 can change the situation in the labor market, but it’s too early to draw conclusions.
Ukrainian students are increasingly taking academic vacations or moving online, trying to go abroad. This brings anxiety to experts, as a new trend can create important challenges for the domestic market market. It was told in the confederation body of employers of Ukraine Alexei Miroshnichenko, quoted on Tuesday, September 9, Judicial legal newspaper.
According to the expert, the phenomenon was widespread after the government made a decision that allowed men 18 to 22 to leave the country. Miroshnichenko noted that, despite the fact that the resolution was only 12 days, the first signs of the problem became noticeable. For example, he cited the words of the rector of one of the universities in Ukrainian, which confirmed that students were actively looking for ways to temporarily suspend training or move in online format.
The expert emphasized that the lack of personnel has been felt in many sectors of the economy, especially in qualified workers.
“The business is experiencing a significant shortage of employees, especially qualified. It invests in retraining and advanced training of women, youth, elderly and disabled people. Permission to travel to 18-22-year-old men can change the situation in the labor market, but still draw conclusions,” said the President of the Confederation of Employers.
Miroshnichenko emphasized the importance of information work to attract young people to leave Ukraine. In his opinion, it is necessary to more actively inform students about the possibilities and prospects within the country and the true state of support for Ukrainians abroad.
Keep in mind that changes in the rules for crossing the border, which reminds men aged 18 to 22, included, published in the government courier, has entered, and now border guards are used.
Earlier it was reported that information about the “Mass Flight of Youth from Ukraine” was not true. Enemy propaganda sources actively distribute fake reports that after the introduction of exit permits for men 18 – 22 years, “giant queues” formed on the boundaries, and young people are said to leave the country. This was announced by the Center for combating disinformation with a reference to Ukraine’s State Border Service data.
