The former President of the United States intends to try again to occupy the Oval Office in the White House.
Ukraine could have avoided a Russian attack by agreeing to territorial concessions and a neutral status on the NATO issue. This was announced on Monday, August 1, by former US President Donald Trump on The Clay Trevis and Buck Sexton Show podcast.
“At the very least, they should have made a deal. They could have given up Crimea. They could have done something with NATO, saying okay, we are not going to join NATO, and then they would have a country, because, I I think Putin wants to reach an agreement,” he said.
“And now I don’t think he wants to make a deal. I think it’s harder to make a deal. He’s bombing everything in Ukraine. Very, very sad,” Trump added.
Trump also called Putin’s deployment of military and equipment to Ukraine’s borders before the invasion “a great negotiating tactic.”
“And when you look at these completely burned buildings, all these people are dead. A lot of people are gone. It’s a deal that can be fixed,” he said.
The politician also said that he does not believe that Putin “ever intended” to start a war in Ukraine, but now “it is more likely that he will get the whole country, because he has already started.”
“He’s going to take over the whole territory,” Trump said.
It is known that the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced his intention to participate in the 2024 election.
