US president Donald Trump has signed a command in renamed the US Department of Defense, known as Pentagon, in the Ministry of War. The signing ceremony took place on Friday, September 5, at the Oval Office. He has been bored of the White House.
The head of the department pit hagset, present at the ceremony, will be called “Minister of War”. He called the changing this name “restoring the warrior spirit.”
“The ministry of war will surely fight – not with endless conflicts. It will fight to win instead of losing. We will continue to be offended. Not just defense – maximum mortality, and not lazy legality, violent influence, not political accuracy. We will teach warriors, not just defenders,” Hagset said.
Changing the name should still be approved by the US Congress. Earlier, when Trump spoke about plans to rename Pentagon, in response to the journalists’ question about the necessary approval of Congress, he said: “Let’s just do it. I’m sure Congress will support us if necessary, even if I don’t think it’s necessary.”
Official Ministry and Pete Hagset pages in X have replaced “Ministry of War” and “Minister of War Pete Hagset”, respectively.
The U.S. Department of Defense was called the Department of War until 1949, when Congress combined the army, Armada and wind forces after World War II. According to historians, this name was selected, including to show that during the United States nuclear they focus on preventing conflicts, Reuters wrote.
