The European Union and India plan to coordinate the joint strategic program at the next summit.
During the Summit in Paris, the European leaders held a telephone conversation with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This conversation was confirmed by European Commission President Ursula Von Der Lyain in his post on the social network KH.
According to him, India plays an important role in stopping Russia’s aggressive war and the creation of conditions for achieving peace. Von Der Lawin emphasized that war has global consequences, brings threats to security and economic stability, which means it presents a worldwide risk. He also noted that the EU and India plan to coordinate the joint strategic program at the next summit, which should take place earlier than 2026.
