Earthquake in Afghanistan: The number of dead reaches 1,400 people

The number of victims as a result of a natural disaster may increase during the rescue work, the Taliban administration’s note.

The number of killed as a result of an earthquake in Afghanistan reached 1,400 people. This was reported by the news agency Reuters.

Representative of the Taliban administration Zabhulla Mujahid said: At least 1411 people were killed, 3124 were injured, more than 5400 homes were destroyed.

According to him, the number of victims could be increased as a rescue work.

At the same time, according to the Afghan Humanitarian Organization, the Afghan Red Crescent, as a result of the disaster, at least 3251 people were injured, and more than 8,000 homes were destroyed.

As we have written, on September 1, an earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred in the eastern Afghanistan regions. At first, at least 250 dead were reported.

It was later found that the earthquake in Afghanistan claimed the lives of 812 people and injured 2,800 people.
