The law aims to discuss the legacy of Russia’s imperial-totalitarian, a reduction in disagreements with the perception of the past in society, as well as eliminating the influence of the aggression state.
President Vladimir Zelensky on August 29 signed the law “on the principles of state policy of the national memory of the Ukrainian people.” This is proven by data on the card card.
A document prepared by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory determines that rashism is a form of totalitarian ideology and skills that are subject to the Russian total regime developed in the state of aggressive, and based on the traditions of Russian chauvinism and imperialism, communist and nationalist skills (NAZI) Totitalian regime.

Among the major changes:

Restoring and maintaining national memory, state language protection and cultural heritage protection becomes national security issues;

The development and adoption of a state approach for restoring and maintaining the national memory of Ukrainian people is provided;

Strengthening the processes of decommunization and decolonization by a number of initiatives, in particular, for a ban for 10 years to change the names adopted in accordance with the law; UPR and the UGVR were introduced by the awards awarded to those who fought independence in the 20th century were recognized as the awards of the state of Ukraine;

The introduction of the law aims to overcome Russia’s imper-totalitarian heritage, a reduction in disagreements with the perception of the past in society, as well as eliminating the state of aggressive state of information, education and culture, which will help strengthen Ukraine’s unity on the face of aggression.
According to the law, the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory will receive a clearly defined legal status of the Central Executive Body. To perform the new tasks, his staff will increase by 12 units.
