Belgium will allocate an additional 100 million euros to the NATO Purl Initiative (a list of Ukraine’s priority needs) for the purchase of weapons and ammunition for US manufacture. This was announced by the Belgium Defense Minister, Theo Frankin on Social Network X on Friday, August 29th.
“As part of the purl package, Belgium will provide Ukraine an additional 100 million euros of military assistance this year, in addition to the 1 billion euros, which we have given. Russia has strengthened its deadly attack. We must answer it without losing,” Franken wrote.
The Ukraine Denis Shmygal’s defense minister in response to the Belgian government for support.
Earlier this week, it was learned that Belgium plans to move F-16 fighters in September to Ukraine. This was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Previa during a briefing in Odessa.
Also, according to him, Belgium is ready to participate in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, if a decision will make to stop.
