In the region, the Harkiv region was exposed by an employee of the morgue who stole dead Ukrainian soldiers.
About this today, August 26, reports the press service of the prosecutor’s office in the Kharkiv region.
The investigation began after the wife of a fallen defender, who, having received her husband’s body from the morgue, noticed the disappearance of his wedding ring. The woman noted that before the transfer of the body to the morgue should be in place, the prosecutor’s office says.
The investigation showed that the younger nurse of the Chuguev branch in the regional bureau of the Kharkiv Harkiv Examination was involved in the disappearance of the wedding. She systematically appropriated the personal belongings of the fallen soldiers:
- She stole mobile phones, chains, engagement rings, etc.;
- Some rings are cut off from the fingers of the dead with the help of pliers;
- In the future, these things were delivered to the pawnshop in exchange for cash.
An employee of the morgue acted for selfish motives, realizing the illegality of his actions. Her actions not only violated the law, but also extremely despised moral norms and traditions of respect for the dead, ”the prosecutor’s office emphasized.
During the search, law enforcement officers seized a large number of jewelry and pawnshops.
The woman was informed of suspicion of theft, committed in martial law and in the illegal seizure of the subject, which was on the body of the deceased for selfish reasons (part 4 of Article 185 and part 3 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code).
Prosecutors in court submit an application for the election of a suspected preliminary measure of detention.
The investigation continues, other sacrifices and the participation of other morgue workers in committed crimes were created.
