The defendants sold low quality counterfeits under the guise of a famous world brand in Ukraine and tried to “bribe” law enforcement officials.
Cyber police and Beb detectives have revealed a group that sells fake gadgets of the popular brand and damaged more than 24 million UAHs. This was reported by the National Police Cyber Police Department on Tuesday, August 26th.
Law enforcement officials have found that the defendants bought fake products in China and sold them online as the original brand’s original devices. The activities of the attacks caused a copyright holder damage to the amount of more than 24 million UAH.
As part of the investigation, 14 searches were conducted in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Fake hours, headphones, chargers and other gadgets were obtained. Legal experts have confirmed that the products are fake and of low quality, and the scoring does not comply with the manufacturer’s standards.
Three Defendants reported suspicion of illegal use of a sign for goods under part 3 of art. 229 UKU, two more – for violation of the rights of invention under part 3 of art. 177 UKU.
In addition, the two suspects tried to bribe law enforcement officials to avoid responsibility and restore the seized owner. In this fact, a separate pre -trial investigation began under part 3 of Art. 369 UKU.
Earlier in the LVIV region, a group of people who established an illegal movement of apple procedure, as well as accessories here, was revealed.
Remember that last year they tried to import the parties of unspecified gadgets for 1.8 million UAH in Ukraine. 219 Smartphones are obtained.
