Appropriate conditions must be created in educational institutions and preliminary steps must be taken to prepare all participants in the educational process.
The Ministry of Education and Science has published an algorithm for the actions of teachers in the classroom when an “air raid” signal is announced. This is stated on the department’s website.
According to the press service of the ministry, this algorithm was developed based on the recommendations of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Appropriate conditions must be created in educational institutions and preliminary steps must be taken to prepare all participants in the educational process.
In particular, it is necessary to carry out: familiarization with the location of the shelters, the rules of behavior when moving to the shelter and staying in it; an explanation of the actions provided by the emergency response plan or instructions of the institution; discussion on the necessary items that participants should bring to the shelter education process; distribution of participants in the educational process in shelters, taking into account capacity and location; placement of movement direction signs in shelters for quick and safe movement.
“After hearing the warning signal, it is necessary to organize the movement of the participants in the educational process, accompanied by a teacher or a responsible person who, after the end of the danger and the announcement of the cancellation of the signal, organizes the return of participants in the educational process in the planned events, and will also check the presence of students in the shelter and on the premises of the educational institution after the completion of the danger,” the statement said.
According to the algorithm, in the event of a danger signal: the responsible person turns to the existing warning system of the institution, the teacher notifies the children about the threat, and the parents – about the movement of the children to the shelter. It is necessary to organize movement in two rows in the classroom and quickly leave the classroom, assistants can be involved to accompany the main classes, and a medical worker must be involved to provide medical care.
Also, responsible people, after the announcement of the alert signal, must check all places for the absence of children and employees in them, after completing the check, go to the nearest shelter. Those outside during the alarm should go to the nearest shelter on their own.
Within the protective structure, responsible persons must help students quickly and calmly get into position.
After the end of the danger and the announcement of the end of the alarm, teachers and responsible persons ensure that the exit of all participants in the educational process from the shelters is carried out in columns or groups.
It was previously reported that in Ukraine only 23% of educational institutions are ready to start full-time education.
