An explosion was heard at the Melitopol airport – media (PHOTO)

    An explosion was heard at the airport of the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol, Zaporozhye region.

    This was announced today, July 31, in his Telegram channel by Ukrainian journalist Andrey Tsaplienko.

    There was a lot of Russian military equipment at the airfield, Tsaplienko notes.

    Also, RIA Melitopol reports about the explosion at the airport of the occupied Melitopol.

    It is noted that the explosion thundered around noon, it was heard in almost every district of the city and in neighboring villages.

    Local residents are posting photos on social media showing smoke rising from the airfield following the explosion. Details of the incident are not yet available.

    Recall that this is not the first case of explosions at this airfield. In particular, a large-scale attack on the airfield, which the enemy then used as a command post and a military base for aircraft and helicopters, was inflicted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in early July. Subsequently, it became known that hundreds of invaders were destroyed by this blow.
