Ukrainian defenders of Avdiivka on the front line received another batch of protective equipment – 500 body armor and 350 helmets from Metinvest.
Avdiivka is located on the very front line, so the fighters are in dire need of modern protection.
“Help from Metinvest has been systematically coming to our city since the first days of the war. The company not only provides the servicemen defending Avdiivka with protective ammunition, but also helps the residents of the community: with AKHZ employees, we continue to deliver food packages to storage facilities as part of the project Save lives, move stoves and boilers for cooking. Together we hold the defense on the steel front,” said Yury Ktsinenko, Deputy Director for Production of Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant of Metinvest Grupo.
In total, the company has already provided more than 1,500 pieces of ammunition to defenders and employees of the Avdiivka infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Metinvest and DTEK, in cooperation with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, have already delivered 19,000 food packages to residents of Avdiivka and neighboring villages.
In total, since the beginning of the year, SCM enterprises, the Shakhtar football club and the Akhmetov Foundation have donated about UAH 3 billion to help Ukrainians.
