A DNA sampling procedure was performed. Police hope that by working with relatives, they will be able to identify these people.
About 300 people were listed as missing during the fighting in the Kyiv region, 216 bodies found have not yet been identified. This was announced on the air of the telethon by the head of the police of the Kyiv region Andrey Nebitov.
“A proper DNA sampling procedure has been carried out. Hopefully, thanks to the cooperation of the relatives, we will be able to identify these people,” he said.
Nebitov did not rule out that some of the missing citizens are in captivity. While documenting war crimes in the Kyiv region, it was discovered that many people are now being held on the territory of Belarus.
“According to eyewitnesses, these people were abducted by invaders from Gostomel, Bucha and Irpin,” Nebitov said.
It will be remembered that the police found the body of another Ukrainian, who was brutally tortured by the occupiers in Novy Zalesye in the Kyiv region.
