On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Russian troops opened fire on Nikolaev, before that an alarm sounded.
The Russians opened fire on Nikolaev again. The shelling of the city on Sunday, July 31, was confirmed by the mayor of Nikolaev Alexander Senkevich on Telegram.
“Nikolaev was massively shelled. From the beginning of the alarm, explosions were heard in the city, including cluster shells.
So far, several fires have been reported at the landing sites. There was damage to residential buildings from the shock wave and debris,” he wrote.
He also urged city residents to heed the alarms and go to shelters when they sound.
Let’s remind, the explosions in Nikolaev were distributed literally within three minutes after the announcement of an air raid alert.
Earlier, the enemy opened fire in the Kharkiv region, as a result of which the combined heat and power plant and the housing estate were damaged. The policeman guarding the thermal power plant died. Two civilians were injured.
