Ukraine is probably ready to transfer the occupied territories to the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a conversation with European leaders admitted that Ukraine would probably have to give way to control over the occupied territories. At the same time, Kyiv rejects the proposal of US President Donald Trump to transfer territories that Ukraine is currently controlled by Moscow. The telegraph announced this with reference to European diplomats and Western officials.
The material says that in this way Bankov softens his position before the future meeting in Alaska Trump with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Journalists also write that the allies of Ukraine in Europe supported their positions on any exchange of territories and are trying to convince the head of the United States that this is a “red line”.
Recall that on August 11, US President Donald Trump announced certain exchange of territories between Ukraine and Russia. Nevertheless, he added that the United States with partners will try to return to Ukraine part of the territory that the Russian Federation has already occupied.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement that Ukraine would not give its lands to anyone.
