Ukraine will receive another tranche from frozen Russian assets.
In the European Union, it was decided to transfer 1.6 billion euros of income from frozen assets of the country of aggressor. This is the third translation of income from frozen assets of the Russian Federation in favor of Ukraine since the launch of the program. Money goes to restore the consequences of the war. This was reported on August 11 in a statement by the European Commission.
The cooperation mechanism in the framework of lending for Ukraine (ULCM) provides irreversible support to Ukraine in repaying the loan for macro financial assistance from the EU, as well as loans from bilateral creditors as part of the mechanism, the department says.
It is indicated that the total credit support within the framework of the mechanism is 45 billion euros. Since the beginning of the program, Ukraine has received two tranches. The first was made in July 2024, and the second in April this year
We recall that on August 8, Prime Minister Julia Sviridenko said that the European Union Council decided to provide Ukraine with 3.056 billion euros in Ukraine.
