The Kremlin declined to withdraw its troops from the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions through the corridor in Crimea.
Russia has refused to accept the regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya, as it considers these territories “strategically important,” written by the Washington Post.
According to the publication, the indication of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on the possible termination of Russian attacks in the regions of Zaporizhzhya and the United States Kherson was noted as a proposal to recover troops.
The resources that participate in negotiations say Kremlin invited Ukraine to renounce Donbass – Lugansk and Donetsk regions in exchange for a ceasefire. Moscow did not pass other conditions.
According to the source, Russia’s side does not intend to restore the territories of Kherson and Zaporozhye, which provides Moscow a strategic ground bridge to the covered Crimea.
European leaders responded that stopping should be a must for negotiations, and not a “chip” of Russia for Kyiv’s pressure.
On Friday, US president Donald Trump confirmed that the Kremlin was offering “a specific exchange of territories that benefit both sides.”
Russian “experts” emphasized that Putin would not retract from the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions – the regions were illegally combined in 2022.
Keep in mind that the leaders of the European Union and the European Commission leader called on US President Donald Trump to protect the important interests of Ukraine and Europe in negotiations with Russian Federation leader Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine would not give the Russian Federation land, but was ready for the real decisions the world could bring.
