Norway announced the transfer of 14 IVECO LAV III armored patrol vehicles to Ukraine. This is stated on the country’s government website.
“Norway continues to contribute to the Ukrainians’ fight for independence. The government continues to evaluate how Norway can further support Ukraine in defending the country from Russian aggression,” said the Defense Minister of Norwegian Bjorn Arild Gramm.
The government said the vehicles are needed by the Ukrainian army and are being provided in addition to other military equipment, namely: artillery, man-portable anti-aircraft systems and armored personnel carriers, which Norway has already transferred to Kyiv .
IVECO LAV III vehicles have good driving characteristics and protection. The same method was used by the Norwegian military in Afghanistan.
Earlier it was reported that in Norway they started raising money for Bayraktar for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is planned to collect 55 million crowns (about $5.5 million) and transfer them to the aid fund at the Ukrainian Embassy.
