A man in Cherkazi threatened the employees of the Center for the Territorial Assembly.
Representatives of the local district shopping center stopped a person on Avenue of Chemists to verify their powers. During the communication, he received a grenade, pulled out a check, began to threaten the explosion and tried to take Tccshniki hostages. In Cherkasy, security forces introduced special police activities. The National Police of Ukraine reported on August 1.
Investigative group, special forces and special forces cord, forensic specialists and explosives arrived at the address.
Initially, law enforcement officers agreed with a stranger, and later he was detained. The National Police assures that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
The 49-year-old resident of Cherkazi was a criminal. He grabbed three grenades with explosions and a gun. The police establish the origin of this weapon.
It is expected that the detainee will be informed of suspicion in the framework of the first part of art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, battles or explosives), part 1 of art. 350 (threat or violence against the official), Art. 114–1 (obstruction of the legal activities of the Armed Forces) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to eight years in prison.
