The IMF mission is preparing a new financing program for Ukraine. Events develop against the background of Varisser with the laws on NABU and SAP.
What may be a new condition for financing from the International Monetary Fund, writes economist Bogdan Slutsky.
It seems that the new IMF program will wait for us in the fall. Accordingly, the current program will be stopped. (.) Firstly, the potential for the introduction of all the parameters set forth in it is exhausted, and this is clearly confirmed by the state of affairs with the productivity of lighthouses.
Secondly, there is at least a desire to complete more than Ukraine (because Ukraine can only get $ 4.8 billion by 2027). By the way, this was hinted at Roksolana Podlas, an example of the EMF this year agreed to a program of cooperation with Argentina for $ 20 billion, of which 12 billion dollars are the initial payments (i.e. without structural beacons).
The current Ukrainian IMF program for the budget does not have a financial effect, that is, all the funds that we receive after it is going to serve and repay the old loans that the Fund provided to us.
But it is worth remembering that the IMF loans are quite expensive, these are not preferential loans, it is about 7% per annum, and they are also quite short.
Thus, it is better not to block obligations between international partners, including Ukraine, and not to lose, including grant funds and really preferential loans for decades (!)
And by the way, I only wrote yesterday that soon partners would be forced to offer us an uncertain lighthouse “not to touch what has been done” (NABU and SAP). And today this article was published in Forbes Ukraine with reference to sources that the truth is that the IMF really plans to place this subject in a new potential program. ”
