Russia has launched regular passenger flights from Moscow to Pyongyang amid the expansion of military cooperation in North Korea, which provides weapons to the Kremlin and sends a soldier to participate in the war against Ukraine.

On July 20, the first direct flight of the passenger to the DPRK capital – Pyongyang started from Moscow Airport Sheremetyevo. New wind traffic is being carried out as part of the depression of contacts between the two countries, especially in the context of supporting the Kim Jong regime -un in military operations. This was reported on July 27 by Reuters.

The flight is located by the Boeing 777-200er airliner of Russian Company Nordwind Airlines, which can be accommodated up to 440 passengers. According to the message Ria NovostiThe flight time was about eight hours, and the first removal took place at Moscow’s 19:00 hour.

According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, permission to conduct flights gives you to fly twice a week, but so far flights will be carried out only once a month. The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation explained this by the need for a gradual increase in demand for the route.

Prior to the launch of this new route, direct air service between Russia and North Korea was provided only by Air Koryo State Airline. Its flights are run three times a week from Vladivostok.

Also in June, Russia opened a direct message of the railroad between Moscow and Pyongyang, which lasts eight days.

Earlier, Russia and North Korea began the construction of a car bridge across the Tumnaya River, which should connect both countries as part of efforts to strengthen the strategic collaboration.
