Prior to the negotiations, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Türkiye was ready to help monitor the stop in Ukraine.
In Istanbul (Türkiye) on the night of July 23, a third of the peace negotiations began between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations. Suprurin and Anadolu reported this.

The meeting was preceded by the opening word of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan. He said the final purpose of these negotiations was to stop the ceasefire, which would pave the way to the world.
Fidan also mentioned that Türkiye was ready to help monitor the stop in Ukraine. The country has the required infrastructure for this, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“We have the required infrastructure in the context of the monitoring mechanism in the event of a ceasefire agreement,” he said.
According to him, Türkiye can also contribute to the practice of prisoners based on a more structured procedure.
On the same day earlier, the Ukrainian delegation held a meeting with Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, his senior adviser Akif Kylych and Fidan. After that, the delegation went to Istanbul.
According to the resources in the Ukrainian delegation, as the last time, before the negotiations, a brief preparation meeting was held between UMM, Fidan and Medinsky. According to resources, the main topic of negotiations is the preparation of the meeting at the level of the leaders.
Remember, on June 2, the second cycle of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia’s delegations was held in Istanbul.
