The National Police, extracted from the organizer of the UAE of the fraudulent scheme under the guise of a meeting for drones for the armed forces, which led to more than 50 million emblems of losses of Ukrainians.
Being abroad, a woman, along with her accomplices, organized a financial pyramid that acted under the guise of supplying drones for the armed forces.
Dozens of volunteers, charitable organizations, IT companies and thousands of citizens who sincerely sought to help the Ukrainian army were injured.
Instead of drones, fake false expenses, inventions of logistics difficulties and false warranty letters.
The total losses exceeded 50 million UH – the cost of more than 600 modern drones that could work on the front line.
The fraudulent scheme was exhibited in February 2024, investigators of the main department of the investigation and operatives of the Department of Criminal Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine. At that time, accomplices were informed of suspicion.
The police documented 99 episodes of criminal activity. Dozens of investigative actions were taken, international relations of participants in the scheme in the UAE, Turkey, and Russia were created.
Now the main organizer is in custody. Extradition was carried out using the Department of International Cooperation of the National Police of Ukraine in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the United Arab Emirates.
