Tehran’s “nuclear” dialogue with Washington may be currently in the format of indirect negotiations.
Iran has expressed readiness for negotiations in the United States under a new nuclear transaction, but in one important condition: it can occur exclusively in an indirect format. The corresponding statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbas Aragchi in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, July 22.
According to the minister, Tehran is open to cooperation with the American side, if the goal is to search for a varied solution.
Aragchi emphasized that Iran is ready for any steps to strengthen the trust and confirm the peaceful character of his nuclear program. He made sure that Iran did not seek to create nuclear weapons and that it would remain an unchanged country position.
For its part, Tehran expects the removal of American penalties as conditions for the predominance of the developing dialogue.
Aragchi described the proposed format as an opportunity to achieve profitable results for both sides, but Iran is not yet ready for a direct dialogue, giving preference to the intermediary path.
“This is a game where everyone wins, and we are willing to participate in it. We cannot start these negotiations directly and will still be given the preference in an indirect dialogue,” the Iranian government chief added.
Remember that by the end of June, Donald Trump made the possibility of softening sanctions against Iran.
However, at the same time he warned Tehran about the continuation of the nuclear program, emphasizing that any new things would be destroyed as well.
