In the Museum of Contemporary Art in the French city of Metz, one of the visitors ate a banana, glued to the wall with adhesive ribbon. The fact is that the fruits were part of the well -known work of the comic Maurisio Katetlan, who was previously sold for $ 6.2 million.
The incident occurred on endless Sunday in the center of Pompido. According to Républicain Lorrain, the person was outraged that such an object was considered art and was sold for millions of dollars. In protest, he tore the banana from the wall, cleaned it and ate it – the security service did not have time to intervene.
However, the artist himself was calm. According to the instructions, banana and adhesive tapes should change every two to three days. And this is not the first time: in 2019, at the Art Basel festival in Miami, the artist David Datun ate a banana directly from the exposition, “because the hungry.” In Seoul, a student, after eating a banana, at least returned the skin to place.
