Monetary security is not charged to military personnel who have voluntarily surrendered.
Oksana Lekontseeva, senior officer of the Department of Social Protection Musana Lekontseyva, spoke about this.
According to her, financial support is maintained for a soldier and is charged within a month from the date of its capture, disappearance or internation, but only if the captivity was not voluntary. If the fact of voluntary delivery is found, payments must be terminated.
This is confirmed by an act of official investigation. This is not about the course of events, but about the results that has legal force, ”emphasized that Lacontseva emphasized.
In addition, monetary security is not paid to persons entitled to a share of military payments, if they are citizens of aggressors (Russian Federation, Belarus), live in temporarily occupied territories or were convicted of cooperation or assistance to the enemy.
According to lawyer Oleg Mitsik in Easter Kiev24, the opportunity to get assistance to relatives of the victims will be expanded.
If the soldier is missing, his family receives 50% of cash (about 120 thousand US dollars), and the rest of the amount is deposited in the account and is paid only after it returned home. However, if later it becomes known that the soldier was voluntarily captured, then these funds are not paid.
The new norm allows relatives of the dead military to receive at one time in the amount of 15 million UH if he died in captivity, but did not give up voluntarily.
