The American Derek Guffman went to Russia with his family to avoid the propaganda of LGBT. Now he has been sent to war against Ukraine.
Daily Beast writes that Derek-46-year-old US citizen, who moved to the village near Moscow in the spring of 2025 with his wife and three children. This village was built in 2023 to attract Americans who want to escape from “liberal gender standards.” Only two families moved to him, one of them is Guffman.
Huffman joined the army of the Russian Federation to obtain Russian citizenship as part of an accelerated procedure. He also believed that the service would allow him to “earn” the respect of his new compatriots.
Guffman’s wife says that Derek assured that he would not serve in battle, but soon he should be sent to the front.
Huffman moved to the village near Moscow, which was built in 2023 to attract Americans who want to escape from “liberal gender norms.”
Derek Dianna’s wife recorded a video on her YouTube channel, saying that she promised her husband that he would serve as a military correspondent or welder, but instead was “abandoned” to the forefront in Ukraine.
According to Dianna Huffman, her husband has no military experience, and training was conducted in Russian, which he does not understand. In addition, after a month of service, his family did not receive any payment.
