In Cherkasy, a coach of a children’s dance circle, who works in school 20, raised funds for a trip to Georgia for competitions, but later lost them in a casino.
The local edition of 18000 was considered by wounded parents to tell about the incident.
The representative of one of the families who suffered in this situation asked not to name her name. The woman said that the new leader headed the circle in the fall of 2024. In February 2025, the children won the Grand Prix to participate in Batumi competitions (Georgia).
According to the woman, the organization took on the organization of the trip. 550-600 euros were collected in one person. Funds were provided since March – both a card and cash. That’s what 1 million 350 thousand hryvnis are collected.
According to the victim, on the site of the organizers of the competition in Batum there was information that the tournament will be held within July 10-17. Nevertheless, the coach told her parents that the date was changed and postponed on July 20-27.
Last week, when it was necessary to see tickets, she still did not show them. Just sent the bus to the bus. Then the manager said that there was a problem. Parents came to her house, where the woman admitted that she had lost money in a casino, ”the victim said.
The media tried to comment directly from the coach of the dance circle, but she did not answer the call.
The Deputy Mayor of Cherkazi Anastasia Chubina in the commentary “18000” said that school management No. 20 has nothing to do with the trip.
This is an exclusively private trip organized by the head of the circle. Both children and parents should participate in this trip. As far as you know, the victims turned to the police. The school will officially publish its position later, ”said Anastasia Chubina.
The deputy mayor noted that the director confirmed her information that the coach was released on May 30. According to Anastasia Chubina, she is not ready for commenting.
At the same time, on the page of the I-III specialized school on Facebook on Facebook, they published a post that said that the trip was private, so the administration of the educational institution did not have information about its organization and training.
