In Bomgian City of Bom, a huge fire destroyed the main scene of one of the world’s largest festivals – Tomorrowland.
On the night of July 16, about 18:00, the main scene of Tomorrowland covers the fire, Nieuwsblad reports.
According to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard before the fire. Smoke and fire were immediately spread throughout the territory. The factors for the fire have not been established, one of the versions is a poor pyrotechnic equipment, which is mounted at the last moment.
“This is our masterpiece. We have created it for two years. And now it’s gone,” said the speaker for the festival Debbie Wilmen.
The fire has been extinguished for a long time and difficult – as the Savior’s note, it is almost impossible to prevent it.
“We have done everything we can. But it is impossible to stop this fire. We focus on the lover of the fire and does not allow it to spread to other parts of the territory,” commented a Fire Service Rivieneland Francois Van Dan Ende.
Despite the loss, the festival was not canceled. Organizers are now working on program adaptation: they are looking for options for transferring presentations, changing locations and coordinating a new plan with local authorities and security services. Details promise to publish in the near future.
