President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he signed three laws.
On Tuesday, July 15, the head of state agreed with the Law on Multiple Citizenship. Ukraine will now be able to recognize the citizenship of other countries, the list of which will be determined by the government. The law on ratification of the agreement on the creation of a special tribunal on the crime of Russia of aggression and the law on suspension of the Ottavsky Convention on the anti -representative mines has already been signed. Zelensky reported this on Telegram.
According to Zelensky, a special tribunal and cooperation with other countries and international organizations will ensure that the country of aggressor for the war against Ukraine will ensure the real inevitability of punishment.
And the withdrawal of Ukraine from the Convention on the prohibition of anti -permeate Minsk, as the President notes, will allow at least parity in the forces and means necessary to protect against Russian aggression.
Zelenski said that he instructed officials to work immediately and adopt everything to the implementation of these laws. Soon, the government will begin to determine the first partner countries with whom multiple citizenship will be implemented. Officials also provide a schedule for implementing the tribunal.
We will recall that on June 18, Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law on multiple citizenship in Ukraine. The document provides that citizens of Ukraine have several passports of different countries and describe multiple citizenship conditions. It is expected that foreign citizenship will be acquired with the preservation of the Ukrainian language.
