The Office of the Prosecutor General reported the largest special confiscation in the history of Ukraine.
Assets were transferred to state ownership for more than 2.6 billion USA, and the PIN-UP online director was sentenced.
During 2021-2024, a network of illegal gaming sites worked under the PIN-UP brand, which worked without appropriate permits. The investigation established the company’s connections with representatives of the Russian Federation, units, and also confirmed the financing of the country’s country’s budget, support of military operations against Ukraine, tax failure and collecting information about the players themselves.
It is also known that the funds received as a result of the activities of online casinos were legalized at the expense of licensed payments (fee).
As part of the investigation, one of the suspects went to the investigation. He gave readings to the organizers, found himself guilty and concluded an agreement on guilty, which made it possible to return the largest special confiscation with the budget during Ukraine’s independence.
Thus, at the request of the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor, the assets were arrested for 2.6 billion US dollars, which were currently transferred to ARMA. At the expense of these funds, it is planned to purchase bonds of the internal state loan “military bonds”.
The Shevchenkivsky District Court KYIV approved the agreement and found the convicted person in accordance with part 4 of art. 111–1, part 3 art. 255, part 3 of art. 212 Criminal Code, part 3 art. 209, part 1 of art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a trial period of 3 years.
In the office of the Prosecutor General, they said that in the framework of this criminal case, the prosecutors also reported suspicion to the chairman and one of the members of the Azart and Lottery Commission, as well as the direct owners of the online casino.
