On July 7, the Cabinet of Ministers did not support the appointment of Alexander Kinsky, who won the competition, for the post of director of the Bureau of Economic Security (BAB) and asks the competition to follow candidates.
According to the press of the Cabinet of Ministers, the next meeting considered the commission’s submission to choose the director of the Bureau of Economic Security regarding the appointment of the new Bab leader. The winner of the competition was declared Alexander Qing. Nevertheless, the government noted that they studied additional materials provided by the Ukrainian Security Service. These materials allegedly concerned national security issues, they contained appropriate grades. As previously reported, the decision was SBU information about the presence of Russian citizenship with his father, who remained in Russia after the collapse of the USSR.
According to the results of a comprehensive consideration of the presented materials and the adoption of the security component, the members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine unanimously decided to apply to the Commission for the Choice of the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine with a proposal to submit no more than two candidates, the report said.
Tsivinsky leads the detective unit of NABU. He investigated, in particular, cases of Kurchenko and Komarnitsky. His candidacy was unanimously supported by international experts of the commission.
