It was known that the attacks were blocked by the vehicle with the help of two cars, took the driver’s hostage and security guard, after which they stole a trailer with an important shipment, sent to the Port of Saysanillo. Later, the truck was found, but the trailer with precious metal was lost without a trace. So far, the company has continued to calculate the exact amount of losses, but it is clear that the loss is multimillion -dollar.
The incident occurred against behind a sharp crime increase on Mexico roads. According to official numbers, in the first two months of 2025, the number of robbers increased by more than one third – in more than 24 thousand cases.
Golden and silver concentrates are by the nature of a semi -processed raw material with the high content of precious metals, making them especially attractive to criminals.
