The White House said they would introduce roles against countries that would not end an agreement on August 1, and not on July 9, as planned.

US President Donald Trump will transfer the introduction of increased tariff duties within three weeks. About a briefing on Monday, July 7, White House spokesman Caroline Levitt said.

He noted that Trump would sign the corresponding order before the end of Monday. According to the Press Secretary, the transfer of the introduction date of tariffs from July 9 to August 1 should provide more time to terminate trade agreements.

Levitt was asked to comment on the letters published by Trump in Japan and South Korea, where he announced the return of 25 percent tariffs against these countries on August 1.

The White House spokesperson said that in the coming days of similar letters from the US president will receive another dozen countries.

“Now, the President will also sign a command, postponing until August 1,” he said.

As Levitt clarified, countries indicate “each other’s tariff rates” that will be applied to them if a trade agreement is not completed.

Earlier in the United States, many tariff agreements were announced in the near future. It is noted that the Trump administration focuses on 18 important partners, which cost 95% of the US trade deficiency.

It has also been reported that the United States signed a trade agreement with China and plans to terminate a similar agreement with India.
