Among the asylum of the German shelter, immigrants from Afghanistan, Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Russia are leading.
In the first half of 2025, Germany stopped becoming a country number in Europe by the number of submitted asylum applications. It was reported by Bild on Saturday, July 5.
It is indicated that in six months 61,300 main statements were received – it was about half as much as the same period of 2024 (121,426). In June, the number of applications did not exceed 7000 – such a low indicator was last recorded generally in 2013.
The reason for the sharp decline is the tightening of the transfer policy: additional border checks were introduced, the re -inclusion program -joined by families were suspended, and the accelerated acceptance of citizenship was canceled. In addition, the list of “safe countries” has increased, from which the status of refugees is more difficult to get.
“These are obvious success in the turn of the move. We will continue to go to —on the move,” the German Interior Minister said in a commentary.
According to the European Commission’s internal report, Germany is in third place in the EU, giving way to the number of applications for Spain Asylum (76 020 applications) and France (75,428). Italy and Greece are near. The smallest indicator of Hungary (47 applications), Slovakia (84) and Lithuania (152).
Among the asylum suppliers in Germany were leaders from Afghanistan (22%), Syria (20%) and Turkey (11%). Also, the first five included the citizens of Iraq and Russia, the latter – with a component of 3.1%.
Remember that for the past three years, Germany has rejected asylum 90% of the Russians. Related statements were submitted by 6374 Russians aged 18 to 45 years. Of these, the status of refugees, the right to further protection related to the So -called “home -threatening risk” was granted to 349 citizens of the Russian Federation.
