The Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick sent Donald Trump a letter demanding an emergency briefing for a congress to suspend military assistance to Ukraine and called for the restoration of supply.
Not only did Ukrainian soldiers and pilots protect their homeland, they retain the line of protection of the entire democratic world. In defense of freedom, there cannot be half a death. The courage of Ukraine should be mobile – the United States, as always, should protect the world from the power.
Another congressman, Republican Michael McColus, joined this call:
I headed efforts under the bill on additional assistance in Ukraine, so that, finally, she had a weapon to repel the hard and unprovided attack of Russia. … Now is the time to show Putin that we are serious. This begins with the provision of Ukraine with a weapon approved by Congress in order to force Putin to negotiate.
Democrats, including the Committee of the Senate Committee on International Relations, also made statements.
Only last week, President Trump promised to find additional air defense systems for Ukraine, but the Pentagon Chairman Pit Hegset and his deputy flask seemed to be ignored by the president. … This reckless decision allows Putin to even control Trump’s nose and victory on the battlefield.
From Donald Trump himself there were no comments about this. According to journalist Ostap Yarish, on July 2, public events are not planned in the President’s schedule.
