The Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of 420 state-owned enterprises that will be transferred to the management of the State Property Fund for further privatization and liquidation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
66 state-owned enterprises are expected to receive new owners as part of the so-called small-scale privatization. With the attraction of new investments, these enterprises will continue or modernize production, including export-oriented ones, and create new jobs.
Another 354 state-owned enterprises were liquidated or reorganized.
“In most cases, these are legal shells in which there is no capacity to continue the work. At the same time, we will end the history of the Soviet heritage of thousands of SE, which, due to mismanagement, fell into such of a state that they will no longer be able to function,” the Ministry of Economy said.
Recall that privatization in 2021 brought the highest amount of funds in 10 years. Last year, the state budget received UAH 5.1 billion.
