The European Commission is working to eliminate Slovakia resistance. When it comes to achieving this, it makes sense to return to discussions.
The European Union will return to the discussion of the 18th package of penalties against Russia after Slovakia organized with the European Commission the question of leaving Russia’s fuel. On Sunday, June 30, the reports suspended the reference to the EU diplomat, which spoke in anonymous conditions.
“It doesn’t matter to discuss this before the EC representative’s visit to Bratislava. The package is primarily a go -up. In order for two delegations to remove their objections, it is necessary to resolve other issues. One delegation is in trouble. Others support it. But formally, these are two objections,” Diplomat said.
Earlier, the prime minister of Slovakia Robert Fitzo reported that next week a special mission of the European Commission should come to the country, where they will discuss the repowereu proposal.
Remember, on June 10, the European Commission offered a new package of sanctions against Russia. He is aimed at Moscow’s income from energy, banks and military industries.
However, Hungary and Slovakia blocked EU’s decision on the 18th package of penalties. Later, Slovakia said they were willing to support the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, provided that the European Union was “guarantee of energy security” and 20 billion euros of potential arbitration risks.
