The commander of the battalion of the Armed Forces in Donetsk is suspected of fraud with combat payments.
The struggle against one of the military units in Donetsk -Region organized illegal payment of combat aids for almost a million hryvnias. Thus, he illegally released an additional monetary reward to three soldiers who were in the rear. The State Bureau of Investigation reported this on June 27.
Investigators found that in 2023, three military servicemen received an additional salary for the alleged combat missions in the field of military operations within three months. However, in fact, these fighters were in the back.
It turned out that the battalion commander allegedly issued intentionally false documents, on the basis of which illegal accrual was made. Thus, the state was caused by almost 1 million.
The official was already informed of suspicion of abuse of the position, introducing false information in official documents and issuing deliberately false officials, which caused serious consequences – part 2 of art. 364, part 2 of art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The attacker threatens up to six years in prison.
We recall that recently, DBR put up military personnel of a military unit in the Nikolaev area, who demanded from the military who left some of the unauthorized unit, money in exchange for returning to the service. They offered fighters for $ 3,000. Return to military service and appointment to the position is not related to participation in the implementation of hostilities.
