Moscow uses a new method of seizing the territories of other states – it wants to “rent” the Bichvinta resort from the pseudo-republic of Abkhazia, Salome Zurabishvili said.
Russia plans to “take” part of the Georgian resort of Bichvinta through an agreement with the so-called “Republic of Abkhazia”. Such actions are another form of annexation by the ruling Kremlin regime. This is what Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said on his Twitter account on Tuesday, July 26.
“What we see in Bichvint is a form of annexation of Georgian territory by Russia. We see the strong reaction of the people to these events. This is the result of continued occupation. I categorically condemn it and call on international community to take a tough response,” he stressed.
It should be noted that the previous day, information appeared on the network about an agreement between the “Republic of Abkhazia” and Russia on the “lease” from the edge of the last relic grove, embankment and water area, located in Bichvinta .
The conquering country plans to acquire in this way about 186 hectares of land and 115 hectares of sea space.
The “Republic of Abkhazia” (according to the Georgian constitution, the Abkhazian Autonomous Republic) is a partially recognized state on the territory of Georgia. Apart from Russia, its “freedom”. recognized by Venezuela, Nicaragua, Nauru and Syria, as well as the five self-proclaimed republics.
Official Tbilisi considers Abkhazia as part of its territory, which is occupied by Russian troops.
Recall that the Georgian port of Batumi was visited by a ship with Russian oil products. But the reduction of sanctioned goods is prohibited.
It was previously reported that despite the assurances of Tbilisi that Georgia complies with the sanctions of the Western partners against the Russian Federation, from time to time there is information in the media that the Russians evade the sanctions with the help of Georgia .
