The State Duma of the Russian Federation has received a bill with a proposal to recognize Ukraine as a “terrorist state”. It was prepared by the party Just Russia – For Truth. On Tuesday, July 26, Russian media reported.
The document specifies the procedure for identifying states as terrorists and sponsors of terrorism. The bill also mentions that Ukraine is among the “terrorist states”.
Also, according to the proposal of the representatives, Russia can recognize as a sponsor of terrorism a country that provides military goods to Ukraine. At the same time, the property of citizens of such countries on the territory of the Russian Federation is proposed to be confiscated.
It will be recalled that last week the United States requested that the Russian Federation be declared a state sponsor of terrorism. In a corresponding appeal, Congress turned to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
As reported, the US Senate may consider a resolution recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. In case of a positive decision, it will be submitted for voting in the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
Earlier it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada supported the appeal to the House of Representatives and Senate of the US Congress to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
