Due to the beginning of the full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Iran helped Russia dictator Vladimir Putin with new weapons.
President Vladimir Zelensky said Russia had ordered the drones of shock shahed in Iran before the beginning of a full -scale attack by Ukraine. He said about this in an interview with Sky News.
According to the head of the state, the relationship between Ukraine and Iran and before that was difficult, especially, after the Ukraine aircraft disaster Boeing 737 near Tehran in 2020, when Iran did not admit that he knocked a liner using a rocket.
“After the war began, it was difficult for us. Partners helped. And then Iran gave Russia a Shahdov party. At that time, nothing like that,” Zelensky said.
He noted that Ukraine had tried to resolve the issue in Tehran, but in Iran they said Russia’s side had ordered these drones even before a full aggression.
“We still wanted to solve this issue, and they gave us the word that this package was ordered by Russia before the war. And then, in 2022, they moved thousands of units, which continued to work. Later they issued licenses for the construction of Russian factories,” the President added.
Zelensky is convinced that attacks on Iranian objects reduce the country’s ability to produce weapons used to kill people.
“So yes, I think it’s a strong and right step,” he emphasized.
It should be noted that from the beginning of an entire war, Iran has become a major Russian military ally, which provides Kamikadze drones, which is actively used by the Russian army for attacks in Ukraine since the fall of 2022.
Remember that Russia and Iran have concluded a new bilateral cooperation agreement, called an agreement with a comprehensive strategic collaboration.
Earlier in the GUR, they estimated the size of “Shahdov” in Russia. We talk about five times growth.
