On such a proposal, he confronted the Turkish leader in a recent meeting in Tehran.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to open a plant for the production of Bayraktar drones in Russia. On Tuesday, July 27, CNN Türk reported.
According to the publication, Erdogan told a party meeting on July 25 that Putin approached him at a recent meeting in Tehran with a proposal to make a deal with the Turkish firm Baykar.
“Putin told me that he wants to work with Baykar. He offered to set up a plant in Russia, like they did in the UAE,” Erdogan said.
In this regard, the company’s spokesperson refused to comment on the Russian proposal and denied information about the plant in the UAE. However, a source told the publication that Baykar is indeed in the process of setting up a production line in the UAE.
Today it was reported that Erdogan criticized the West for its attitude towards Putin, adding that during a meeting in Iran, he and Putin “easily settled” the issues of bilateral relations.
