On June 17, the Verkhovna Rada agreed with the appointment of Ruslan Kravchenko to the post of Prosecutor General.
The parliament for the appointment of Kravchenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, discovered the votes of 273 deputies. They did not support the appointment: “European solidarity” and “Voice”.

He became the youngest prosecutor in the history of Ukraine.
Kravchenko headed Kiev Ova earlier, was a military prosecutor and prosecutor in the Yanukovych case. He was awarded by order of the merit of the 3rd degree.
Since the end of 2024, he headed the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
In 2023, he participated in a competition for the post of chairman of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (Nabu).

A person is unacceptable to become the subject of criminal prosecution only so that someone can fulfill the plan, justify his place of residence in his position or entered with him. The position and status cannot be the cause of demonstrative justice. Because each such question is violated by fate, a destroyed career, destroyed by dreams. For each official judicial persecution, which often ends with a person justifying or convinced person in an agreement with the investigation – lost years of life, lost state resources, discrediting the law enforcement agencies themselves.
I represent not political power, but the law. And I am convinced that the prosecutor’s office should remain outside of some kind of political influence.
