The EU is allocating 1.59 billion euros of financial aid to Ukraine

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that one billion euros of this amount will be allocated immediately.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved financing for Ukraine in the amount of 1.59 billion euros. This was announced by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

It was noted that one billion euros of this amount will be allocated immediately.

“This will help restore infrastructure and continue providing services, energy support, transportation and educational projects for the future,” the statement said.

Earlier it was reported that the Council of the EU approved aid to Ukraine in the amount of one billion euros.

Remember that the EU said what the 500 million aid will go to. 490 million euros will be spent on military equipment. The remaining €10 million is intended to cover supplies of equipment and consumables such as personal protective equipment, first aid kits and fuel.
