From the performance of Navalny’s daughter, the Ukrainian delegation left the hall of the European Youth Forum.
The European youth event is the largest youth forum in Europe, which is held every two years in the walls of the European Parliament in France Strasbourg.
According to the participants of the Ukrainian delegation, they were not warned about the participation of Daria Navalli on the forum – they found out when she came out (talked about democracy, protecting human rights and freedom of speech).
The daughter of Navalny was a member of one of the main discussion panels, and her performance was made in a separate accent and was presented as important for the whole event.
Ukrainian delegates emphasized that this is unacceptable for them:
We came from the country that they attack daily. Our peers die in front. And to see in the European parliament as a key role that the Russians give is offensive to us and our struggle.
It was no case: a lawyer from Russia – Vyacheslav Samonov – also performed at the forum. Nevertheless, there was no place among the key speakers of the forum.
