Fighting the Kursk region, Russia, led to the losses of more than 6,000 military DPRs fighting the Russian Federation side. On Sunday, June 15, the British Ministry of Defense reported on X (Twitter).

According to intelligence, the main losses were caused by attacks of mass infantry against Ukrainian forces. Despite the limited transition of strengthening, the situation for the North Korea contingent remains critical.

It was also noted that on June 4, the Secretary of the Russian Federation Secretary of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu visited the DPRK for the second time and met with Kim Jong O. British Intelligence considered Shoigu a major mediator in coordination of military cooperation between Russia and the DPRK in war against Ukraine.

Currently, the actions of North Korean troops are limited to the territory of the Kursk region. To move them to Ukraine’s territory, it is necessary to coordinate between Putin and Kim Jong in another.

According to Intelligence, on June 4, 2025, Russian Security Council secretary and former defense minister Sergei Shoigu visited the DPRK to meet with DPRK leader Kim Jong O. It was his second meeting with North Korea leader for less than three months.

Shoigu, according to Britain’s intelligence, is a major interlocutor from the DPRK in support of North Korea of Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

As you know, the deepening of cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyan began after a visit to Vladimir Putin at the DPRK in the Tag -Heater of 2024. Then dictators signed an agreement with a comprehensive strategic collaboration, which included the provision of mutual military support in the event of external invasion.

And last week it was learned that DPRK leader Kim Jong -un promised Russia to “unconditional support” in the war against Ukraine.
