Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo called for a vote for EU sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Fitzzo instructed his Foreign Minister Yurai Blanar to ask to postpone the vote in the European Union for a new package of sanctions against Russia until he resolves the issue of Russian gas. Voting for EU sanctions should take place on June 18. This was announced by Dennik N.
We want to ask us not to discuss the sanctions now, but first discuss this topic, ”Fitzo said.
According to him, in Slovakia they want to know what guarantees will have a country, that it will have enough gas, and that the prices for households will not increase significantly.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that “Slovakia has no reason to suffer through Ukraine.”
Recall that the leader of the Slavic nationalists Andrei Danko demands that Ukraine return to 3.5 billion euros for the help provided by the euro. He noted that if the Germans, the French and Americans are asking to return the money, Slovakia cannot be silent.
